Testing Engineer - Gas Safety Testing (June 2008)

We are currently seeking for a Testing Technician to work in our Gas Safety Department.

Key Responsibilities: (Work Duties includes, but not limited, to the following):

- Provide assistance in the development of safety testing protocols for CSA, ANZI and EN standards
- Set-up and conduct safety gas tests
- Prepare technical reports
- Prepare Technical Files as per safety standards
- Improve testing setups so that testing is carried out more effectively

Key Requirements:

- Must have at least a Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering/gas ticket
- Must have a sound understanding of gas principles
- Must have prior (work and/or school) laboratory experience, prior experience in testing laboratory would be desirable
- Must have experience in developing and applying customized test protocols to evaluate product quality
- Must have excellent communication skills and capable of conversing effectively with clients of a diverse cultural background
- Must have good presentation skills and ability to explain/teach technical subjects
- Must have excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office tools - Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
- Fluency in English
- Must be available for travel

Working Conditions:

Mondays to Fridays - 8:30am to 4:30pm

Position for Field Representatives (May 2008)

We are currently seeking for Field Representatives to work in our Certification Department on contract basis.


Key Responsibilities: (Work Duties includes, but not limited, to the following):


  • Conducting Initial Factory Assessments at manufacturing facilities as per LabTest certification program;

  • Conduct Follow-up Iinspections at manufacturing facilities

  • Witness tests as per the applicable safety standards (CSA, UL, EN and etc.)

  • Prepare Inspection reports

  • Report non-compliances to Certifictaion Manager


Key Requirements:

  • Must have at least a Bachelor degree in electrical/electronic engineering

  • Must have a sound understanding of electrical principles

  • Must have sound understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

  • Must have prior (work and/or school) laboratory experience, prior experience in testing laboratory would be desirable

  • Must have excellent communication skills and capable of conversing effectively with clients of a diverse cultural background

  • Must have good presentation skills and ability to explain/teach technical subjects

  • Must have excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office tools - Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment

  • Fluency in English

  • Must be available for travel
